Intrigerende thema\u2019s, van puur melodieus (\u2018Waltz for a rainy day\u2019, de pianosolo \u2018Silent conversation\u2019) tot kernachtig \u2018groovy\u2019 (\u2018U-turn\u2019) en ritmisch ijzersterk. Met een subtiel gebruik van effecten op de vleugel, met af en toe nog een vleug latin; soms alleen doorschemerend, \u00e9\u00e9n keer de boventoon voerend (\u2018Black Jack\u2019). De Antilliaanse basgitarist (electrisch en fretless) Reno Steba en de Iraanse percussie-wizard Afra Mussawisade geven op een unieke manier weerwerk op dit cd-debuut van Bischoff als \u2018leader\u2019. Niet zomaar werk van een begaafd pianist met twee begeleiders, maar drie evenwaardige en virtuoze stemmen, elkaar steunend en gezamenlijk de ruimte van de improvisatie verkennend.
